alexios_hellas asked: I’m an American citizen living in the United States; however, I do a lot of traveling to and business in Romania, so, for me, it would be a lot easier to deal with a local bank there. Is there any way that I could open a bank account in Romania? I do know that it is possible for a foreigner to open a bank account in the Republic of Moldova, but I’m wondering if it would also be possible in Romania, especially since they just joined the European Union. Does anyone know where I could read about the process, requirements, or can anyone offer any informative websites?

Patrick Star asked: I’m trying to purchase something from Estonia, and the only payment option is to a bank account. I have a US bank account and a debit card, as well as paypal. I’ve got the bank account number and email address of the person I’m sending to, but he doesn’t have paypal. I’ve tried using Western Union but they don’t have a “direct to bank” option for Estonia. Any recommendations?

kelly4u2 asked: I am now a Regions customer and have been really unsatisfied with their services. I have never had so many problems with a bank before. The overdraft fees, the poor customer service, and I just recently found out from a teleservice representative at Regions corporate that the corporate offices gave each bank branch power over the accounts they open. Meaning, if a branch manager decides that he/she doesn’t want to refund overdraft fees regardless of the reason, he/she does not have to. Does anyone reccommend a bank and/or bank account that is student-friendly?

MadgeLivesInMarbleArch asked:
I am contracting as a limited company in the financial services industry in London. Because of new regulations, anyone contracting as a limited company must now have a business bank account. Can anyone in a similar situation recommend/give advice as to the best bank to go with in this case?
I know nothing about business bank accounts, eg how long do they take to set up, what are (if any) the fundamental differences between a business bank account and a personal on etc.

Does anyone know what the steps are to transfer money from Canada to a Bank of China account in Hong Kong? I don’t have a Bank of China account, but I think I could transfer money via my own bank account, or walk into the Bank of China branch in Canada and do the transfer? However, what is involved with this process? Service charge? How long does it take? How secure is it? If anyone has done it, and can share your knowledge and/or experience, that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

frozen555 asked: I have a paypal account and a bank account. Is paypal similar to a secondary bank account? Can I use paypal by itself to make payments, or do I need to link it with my bank account to submit payment? I am asking this question, because every time I log in to paypal, it says that I have zero dollars on my account. I wonder what that means. I have money on my bank account. Why doesn’t it show up in paypal? So, is paypal like a separate bank account or what?

Todd asked: At my work, we take payments from customers who use online bill pay with their banks. We receive a check from the bank. If the customer’s account is already paid in full, one bank says to mail it back to them to recredit to the customer’s bank account. I got one from a different bank and I called them to get their address and they said no, to send it to the customer. Does that make sense? What is the customer supposed to do with it? Thanks.
