Why does my bank account with the most money have the least interest?

bank account
sweetfilipinachick asked:

I started off with one bank account & then I added another one after a year & a half.
I transferred all the money from my first account to my newest account. Last month I saw the interest for both accounts & my old account had more even though it has the least amount of money. I am so new with banking, it’s my first time. So how does it work?

  1. Mr. Prefect says:

You need to find out the interest rate, how often interest is credited, and whether or not it is compounded.
