How to open a foreign bank account?

bank account
las C asked:

I need a bank account in another country. I am not interested to avoid taxes or use it for anything illegal. Just a simple bank account. But it seems impossible to open an account not being present in that country. And many banks require minimum deposits. Any advice?
It should be a reliable/known bank.

  1. Rooney says:

You should probably seek advice from an accountant or other financial professional. I’m sure they could guide you through the process, including the relevant laws of the country which houses your account.

    Good Luck!

Typically, banks won’t open an account unless they can verify your identity. If you turn out to be a money launderer they’ll get in trouble and they don’t want that kind of risk.
If you tell me what you’re trying to do I might be able to recommend an easier way to do it.
